Intro to NHS
At Croxteth Dental Centre we provide essential dental work under the standard NHS dentistry charge-bands;

Band 1 – £23.80
This covers a dental exam, x-rays, diagnosis, advice, scale and polish if there’s a clinical need, and preventative care such as the application of fluoride varnish.

Band 2 – £65.20
This covers everything listed in Band 1, plus any further treatment such as fillings, root canal work or removal of teeth, but does not include more complex procedures included in Band 3.

Band 3 – £282.80
This covers everything listed in Bands 1 and 2, in addition to crowns, dentures, bridges and laboratory-related work.

Emergency – £23.80
This covers emergency care such as pain relief or a temporary filling.

If getting dental treatment is a higher priority than waiting for an NHS appointment to become available, you can consider our private dental plans. 

Private dental care provides access to higher quality materials, more appointment availability, and a range of treatments which aren’t available through the NHS including:

Amalgam Fillings

If you’re in pain when eating or drinking hot, cold or sweet food or drink, there’s a good chance you have a cavity. Metal (amalgam) fillings from Croxteth Dental Centre can seal and protect your teeth to eliminate dental pain fast. Amalgam fillings are made of a mixture of metals, including silver, mercury, copper and tin. It is one of the strongest and most durable types of filling available.

Crowns

If you have cracks, sensitivity or discolouration, your Croxteth Dental Centre specialist can replace the visible portion of the tooth with a protective coating made of ceramic or porcelain. This coating is known as a crown; it looks and feels like a normal tooth, blends in seamlessly and delivers a healthy-looking smile. It can also reduce the appearance of small gaps if your misalignment is minimal.

Bridges

A dental bridge is several connected ceramic or porcelain teeth fixed to your remaining teeth on either side of a gap. This replaces several missing teeth at once for a healthy, confident smile.
